Last night, I had the honor of speaking on a panel at the Fashion 2.0 Meetup, and this month, the topic at hand was Fashion PR 2.0, one of my favorite hot topics. I sat alongside the lovely Christine Perkett, President & Founder of Perkett PR, and Orli Sharaby, a Social Media Strategist for 360i, while the crowd grilled us with questions on the “changing” landscape of the fashion industry as it relates to public relations. To my surprise, the session was filmed and streamed live last night via mogulus (which was probably better – come to think of it – that I wasn’t pre-warned, and thus not panicked about the ‘on-camera’ aspect of the gig!). That’ll teach me to read the fine print. All-in-All, 100 people RSVP’d and I had the pleasure of meeting several supportive fashion, design & pr types after the panel. Hopefully, the crowd found the conversation intriguing and walked away with something of value!? Thanks to all who came up and said “hi” afterwards; I look forward to seeing you all at next month’s event!
