Barack The Vote (on Debate Night)
Last night, I attended the “Barack The Vote” fundraiser and debate viewing party at Le Royale (formerly Luke & Leroy) on 7th Ave South @ Leroy Street, hosted by Fashion Indie and Brooklyn Royalty, and sponsored by our friends over at Recession Wines. Of course, the usual suspects – Ms. Bob Bland of BK Royalty and Amber Lee AKA “The Obama Girl” were among the Barack-supporting faces that were out in full-effect.

The space was packed, the donations were flowing, and people were extremely eager for 9PM to roll-around, and for the presidential debate to hit the big screen. The most impressive endorsement of the night may have come from “The Obama Girl” who told me she attends functions like this every week, and has never been at an event (with free alcohol flowing, mind you) where the crowd had remained so silent in respect of the most important entertainment of the evening: The Live Debate.

Post-Debate, the crowd riled up again for a night of dancing and donating in true democratic style. November 4th is quickly approaching, and you can most definitely feel the anticipation of this in the air!
